IMPAQ workforce development and disability researchers Linda Toms Barker and Dr. Kay Magill will present and exhibit at the Pacific Rim International Conference on Disability and Diversity in Honolulu, HI. The conference, which takes place October 9-11, brings together leading experts on disability and diversity from around the world. Ms. Toms Barker and Dr. Magill will present “The Customer Experience in Employment Services” on October 10 at 10:50 AM in Kahili 2, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Kalia Executive Conference Center. During this session, they will present findings from IMPAQ’s study of workforce system accessibility and will illustrate the experiences of people with disabilities when interacting with today’s job centers.
On October 11, Ms. Toms Barker and Dr. Magill will present “New Directions in Solvency for Social Security Disability Programs: Where Will We Go from Here?” at 8:10 AM in Nautilus 1, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Kalia Executive Conference Center. During the presentation, they will discuss findings from their work with the Stay-at-Work/Return-to-Work Policy Collaborative.
