CMS Awards IMPAQ Contract to Provide Technical Implementation Support for Part D Enhanced Medication Therapy Management

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded IMPAQ International a new contract, Part D Enhanced Medication Therapy Management Technical Implementation Support, to provide technical implementation support services to CMS prior to and during the five-year Part D Enhanced Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Model test. The support services include data collection, analysis, and performance monitoring of model participants.

Senior Fellows, as experts and leaders in the field, contribute to the knowledge base of HRET, help to change how health care is delivered, develop practical applications for the management and practice of health care, and work to improve the health care system for those who use it. Dr. Baker status as a Senior Fellow recognizes his contribution to health care research and his continued work with HRET.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with IMPAQ International to develop and deploy a Strategic Innovation Engine (SIE). The SIE will identify which health care practices show significant evidence of success, expand the science of quality improvement; and disseminate a body of knowledge on what works well. The SIE will be an important resource for the Quality Innovation Networks-Quality Improvement Organizations under the CMS 11th Scope of Work.
