BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - Using IMPAQ’s extensive experience in developing and implementing results-based Monitoring and Evaluation system for international development programs, and expertise in evaluating education interventions, IMPAQ International is collaborating closely with the U.S. Agency for International Development Bosnia and Herzegovina Mission (USAID/BiH) - and implementing partners CEI and proMENTE - to develop their staff’s capacity to assess the project “Education for a Just Society” progress and impacts through a “learning by doing” approach.

The “Education for a Just Society” program aims to change the educational system in BiH to reflect a vision of a society that promotes peace and reconciliation, and encourages all BiH children to envision and build their future. It is a holistic approach to educating BiH youth that goes beyond the mere physical integration of students, to bring about reconciliation, sustainable peace, and societal cohesion.

IMPAQ is providing technical assistance for data collection and is implementing rigorous quasi-experimental impact analysis to evaluate the project’s achievement on its overall goal: To effect change in the education system which will reflect a vision of an equal, just society; a society that promotes peace, reconciliation, and encourages all children to dream, envision and build their future.
