Race to the Top (RTT) is a $4.35 billion US Department of Education competitive grant created to spur and reward innovation and reforms in state and local district K-12 education. RTT awards go to states that are leading the way with ambitious yet achievable plans for implementing coherent, compelling, and comprehensive education reform.
