Mike Liu is an experienced data scientist who utilizes SAS, SQL, and a variety of programming tools to perform tasks such as data processing, data cleaning, data manipulation, data management, and assuring data integrity. Mr. Liu has strong quantitative analysis skills and is well versed in designing, developing, and evaluating databases.
Mr. Liu has served as the lead programmer on numerous project tasks that involve the usage of complex data. Mr. Liu has worked with Medicare Part A/B and Medicare Part D data, including, but not limited to, drug utilization, inpatient and outpatient claims, claim diagnoses, and beneficiary enrollment. Mr. Liu has over three years of experience managing and analyzing Medicare complaints from HPMS. Mr. Liu has excellent experience importing from and exporting to data sources such as Excel, csv, text files, and flat files.
Mr. Liu has nine years of experience working with clients including the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, the National Cancer Institute, the National Institutes of Health, and the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission.
Prior to joining IMPAQ, Mr. Liu worked as a SAS Programmer at Information Management Services, Inc. for five years.
Mr. Liu graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
