Mr. Slava Katz
Mr. Slava Katz is a Vice President, IMPAQ Health and he is responsible for managing and supporting the delivery of innovative and methodology-driven research solutions from conception through implementation.
Mr. Katz has more than 15 years of experience leading government and private industry projects and has managed numerous complex research and information systems development efforts. He specializes in combining subject matter expertise with innovative technology to develop highly useful and effective information services across multiple disciplines.
Mr. Katz has provided technical guidance and oversight for the development of several high-profile, web-enabled data collection, survey, and reporting systems for government agencies. He has led a number of high profile efforts for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USDA Food and Nutrition Service, and US Department of State. He is currently leading an effort for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to develop a scalable, user-friendly, and secure platform to collect, store, and share quality measures for Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) that are offered on Health Insurance Marketplaces. Mr. Katz is acting as a technical advisor for the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to conduct a study of the feasibility of creating a data collection system that would automatically deliver item-level purchase data on food purchases made by Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) households.
Mr. Katz has a Bachelor of Science in Decision and Information Services and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Administration from the University of Maryland.
