Ms. Andrea Amodeo

Andrea Amodeo is a Senior Research Associate in IMPAQ Health. She leads projects and tasks to improve patient safety and quality in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, ambulatory settings, and long-term care.

Expertise

Ms. Amodeo’s areas of experience and expertise include job and task analysis, qualitative research, survey design and implementation, training development and evaluation, team performance, and learning and diffusion. Much of her work has focused on improving safety in health care and aviation. She is an experienced project and task leader, conducting efforts such as developing project designs; conducting data collection and analysis; coordinating with subject matter experts and organizational partners; and developing written reports, webinars, and other resources for a variety of stakeholders.

Clients

Ms. Amodeo’s work at IMPAQ has focused on efforts for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Prior to her work at IMPAQ, Ms. Amodeo’s clients included CMS and AHRQ, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Labor, Transportation Safety Administration, and U.S. Department of Education.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining IMPAQ, Ms. Amodeo was an Industrial-Organizational Scientist at Aptima, Inc., focusing on job analysis, training needs assessments and evaluations, and simulation training in health care and aviation for the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to her role at Aptima, Ms. Amodeo worked for seven years as a researcher at the American Institutes for Research (AIR).

Education

Ms. Amodeo earned an M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Baltimore.
