Child welfare systems play a critical role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Federal and state governments, work with community and local programs to help ensure the safety, permanency, and welfare of children and youth in the nation’s child welfare system. However, this system faces multiple challenges including expanding caseloads and difficulties recruiting and retaining foster families.
IMPAQ International helps child welfare agencies meet their challenges by becoming more effective and efficient. Our multidisciplinary teams have extensive expertise in child welfare policy and a firm understanding of federal standards and requirements.
For example, our communication experts have facilitated 14 webinars for the Administration on Children, Youth and Families’ Children’s Bureau. These webinars have been utilized to educate community level workers and the general public about preventing child abuse and neglect.
We are also working with the Colorado Department of Human Services to conduct a multi-year evaluation of whether the Collaborative Management Program improves the lives of Colorado children that are served by multiple state agencies. Under this project, we examining the effectiveness of the interventions for Colorado children, youth, and families involved with the health/mental health, education, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems.
