Audit of Plan Finder Data and Creation of Registry for Healthcare.gov

As required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes comparative information about health insurance on its online Plan Finder web site (finder.healthcare.gov). IMPAQ helped ensure that issuers of private health insurance provide complete and accurate data, allowing consumers to understand their health insurance options and make more informed choices.
To accomplish this, IMPAQ created a metadata registry to assist CMS with understanding the data collected, identifying ways to improve the information submitted to the Plan Finder, and making the metadata registry and tool accessible and useful to the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight.
The IMPAQ team, consisting of senior researchers and analysts from the IMPAQ Health and Technology Solutions divisions, leveraged its subject matter expertise with federal and state private health insurance regulations and decades of quantitative analysis experience, to ensure highly accurate and meaningful analyses. We also utilized our software development expertise to create a comprehensive, user-friendly registry.
