Since the TeamSTEPPS initial release in 2006, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has funded efforts to update the original hospital-based curriculum. IMPAQ led the update, called TeamSTEPPS 2.0, which was released in 2014.
We worked with AHRQ on a similar update to the TeamSTEPPS for Long-Term Care (LTC) curriculum, which was originally released in 2012. Called TeamSTEPPS 2.0 for LTC, the revision included content updates, the reorganization of some components of the curriculum, and the addition of important resources not currently part of the LTC curriculum.
The individuals who worked on this project are intimately familiar with the initial TeamSTEPPS 2.0 development, as well as the content and organizational revisions required for this release. They understand the core content needed to maintain the integrity of the program and have experience working with AHRQ’s Office of Communication through review and editorial processes.
